The name was taken from the game Mario Kart. My favourite battle on Mario Kart is called Shine Thief. It’s the only game I can actually beat my sister at and I thought that my first layout should be about the game. And I was thinking, people always have lyrics on their layouts, but what kind of lyrics would look good on a Mario layout?! so that’s when the name came to me. I thought about having “Shine Thief” on it and then I thought, I SHOULD JUST NAME MY SITE SHINE THIEF! and that, my good friends, is how I thought of my name.
History
Okay, my website history is so short and sweet it’s amazing.
The first site I ever had was piczo.com/-awesome and I loved that stupid site to death. And after about nine months, I got really into it and thought “Heh, I should be a sheep and make a freewebs.” And so that’s how freewebs.com/ghostpass came about. I was so proud when I figured out how to code things on freewebs, I felt like a god. And then after like, three months I got hosted by my dear friend Ashley ♥ and my sub-domain, harlequin, lasted a pathetic two or three weeks. After that, I decided it would be pointless to go back to any web-designing unless it was with a domain. So that’s when I got my beautiful shinethief.com!
